Saint Brendan the navigator, perhaps the first Orthodox Christian to set foot on Canadian soil, and as such, is the first of the saints to set foot in North America. It is a high quality Byzantine icon print mounted and laminated on a rectangular HDF plaque, with a keyhole in the back for wall hanging. He is commemorated on May 16.

The sides and the back of the icon are painted Byzantine red. On the gold gilded background icons, a resistant epoxy varnish with a beautiful crystal finish is applied and the name of the saint may be written in various languages: Greek, English, French or Russian.
