The sisters of the Monastery of the Virgin Mary the Consolatory in Brownsburg-Chatham, Quebec, offer hand-crafted Orthodox icons of Christ, the Most Holy Theotokos and many Orthodox saints, in Byzantine, Greek and Russian styles. Each icon is made for veneration at home, in the church or as a gift.
Our Byzantine style icons follow the traditional Byzantine form of iconography and are the largest part of the collection. Our Russian style icons follow the Russian tradition, with its own treatment of colour and line. Browse the saint you are looking for, or the feast or occasion you wish to mark.
Small Orthodox icons suit a pocket, a car or a bedside shelf. Orthodox wedding icon sets pair the icons of Christ and the Theotokos for a marriage. For the home, see our icon cross plaques, Orthodox crucifixes and icon pillows. Icons and books of Saint Paisios are gathered in their own collection.
Each icon is custom made for you. Please allow up to four weeks for delivery, and contact us before ordering if you need it sooner. A purchase supports the life and work of the sisterhood.
To light before your icons, see our beeswax candles; to pray with them, our prayer ropes.
