Saint Philip the Apostle, was one of the Twelve Apostles of Christ, called by the Lord to follow Him and proclaim the Gospel. After the Resurrection, he preached in regions including Phrygia, Scythia, and Greece, and is especially associated with Hierapolis in Asia Minor, where he suffered martyrdom for his faithful witness to Christ.
