I chose to buy this to support the sisterhood as a patron st gift for a new English speaking Godson. I loved this version, and the ability to choose the language. The image only has Greek with the icon scroll and name text in Greek so I would assume both would be translated. Unfortunately only the saints name uses English, the scroll is still in Greek. This is not clear from the picture and I would suggest updating the photos to be clear about this. The icon and construction itself is gorgeous, just unfortunate about the translation.
Christ is risen!
Thank you very much for your support of the sisterhood and for your thoughtful feedback. We are truly sorry that the description and photos were not clear regarding the language on the scroll.
For our gold leaf icons, we are only able to change the saint’s name because the original background is removed and replaced with gold leaf. The remaining inscriptions, including the scroll text, are part of the original icon print itself and unfortunately cannot be modified, especially for prints that we source from other iconographers and suppliers.
We sincerely appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we will make sure to clarify this more clearly in both the product description and photos moving forward.
If you would still prefer to return the icon, please feel free to contact us and we will gladly assist you with the process.
In Christ,
The Sisters
