Wood trim is painted Byzantine red. On the gold gilded background icons, a resistant epoxy varnish with a beautiful crystal finish is applied and you have the choice of the language for the writing on the icon.
Please note that some traditional inscriptions or scroll texts appearing within the icon image may remain in the original language of the icon prototype (such as Greek or Slavonic).

The icon is very beautiful especially with the Gold Leaf background.
Overall, I like the icon’s portrayal of St Sophia and 3 daughters. I like its simplicity and precision.
I was, however, expecting the yellow background to be gold, but other than that I am happy.
