This is the first crucifix I have ever owned. I hope it will bring me and my home protection. I like the Greek lettering. It makes it look very professional, intelligent, and foreign. This cross has left great comfort to my heart already. The wood from the picture under the feet of Jesus makes me think of Ukrainians that are forced to live ascetic lives. Hopefully, they will also be comforted by crucifixes like this one, too.
Lastly, I would like to add a few quotes here too.
This cross is the artistic representation of the objective fact that “He sacrificed His life for the sake of ungrateful man” and “for the salvation of select souls” (Ephraim, 2020, p. 268).
Here are a few quotes that I find relevant to this cross:
Let us be crucified together, let us breathe our last together, so that we may also be risen together and live together. "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross every day." If anyone loves Me, let him follow Me, for everything is rubbish, more illusory than dreams. "Riches do not remain; glory does not accompany one to the other world; for when death strikes, it obliterates them all." Theology-true theology-is not gained in universities, but rather by despising the world and by living in a quiet and peaceful place far from the world's noise and turmoil, with a program of prayer and asceticism (Ephraim, 2020, p. 79).
