Melomakarona, along with kourabiethes, which are both made fasting (vegan), are a traditional Greek dessert, prepared primarily for the Christmas holidays. It is a hand-shaped pastry, in the form of an egg.

The monastery's melomacarona are vegan and have a sweet delicate flavor of orange and spices, dipped in a honey syrup and garnished with walnuts. Serve with a cup of monastery blend tea, coffee or milk.

Ingredients

Wheat flour, canola oil, sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, clove powder, baking powder, orange zest, walnuts.

Syrup: Water, sugar, honey.

Made at the monastery that also processes nuts, soy, dairy and other allergens.
