Kourambie, (kourambiethes in plural) are a traditional Greek dessert, typically made for the Christmas holidays. It has now become a classic, and is the most popular cookie the sisters make for over 30 years.
It is a hand-shaped pastry, in the form of the moon. The monastery's kourambiethes are vegan and have a sweet delicate flavor of roasted almonds, garnished with icing sugar. You may add more icing sugar before serving. Serve with a cup of monastery blend tea, coffee or milk.

Wheat flour, non-hydrogenated margarine, vegetable shortening, sugar, roasted almonds, baking powder, lemon juice, vanillin, baking soda.
Made at the monastery that also processes nuts, soy, dairy and other allergens.
