It is then that the temple of worship the chapel and the whole precinct, are undated with pilgrims who gather, full of reverence, to render honor to our eminent and Most Holy Mother.
It is even all throughout the August Fast when services of Supplication to the Theotokos are sung daily, that groups of pilgrims draw near the monastery to seek her protection for their families. They lay down their burdens, their quotidian afflictions and cares at her icon. They find succor in the tones of monastic chant, and serenity in the flickering flames of the vigil and candles adorning the chapel. They experience the joy of monastic hospitality, and strolling about the monastery’s enclosure, enter into communion with nature and its Creator.
